What is "la Lanterne" ? What do we find there ? What do we do there ?
"La Lanterne" is an old farm which was just renovated in the Petite Montagne of Jura, France. It offers a frame of simplicity and goodwill to anyone who comes and settle down, to taste a 9-day retreat within a small group, in silence and with no mobile phone.
La Lanterne is fundamentaly a place where you can allow yourself to STOP. Stop participating to the so familiar daily run. Stop harming yourself to be productive in an alienating job. Stop constraining your body and cultivating appearances to please and get accepted by others. Stop exhausting yourself to be strong and reliable in the roles you're assigned to and the ones you assign to yourself. Stop pretending to happy if you feel something wrong deep inside. Stop blaming yourself for not having done this or not having said that. At La Lanterne, nothing is expected from participants. You don't need to prove anything. You can drop all that on the threshold and allow yourself to enter as you are, in the moment.
"I invite you to come and take part in simple and nourishing activities of reconnexion to the living : mindfulness meditation, hiking, gardening, bathing in the river, woodworking, campfire, xi gong. We'll experiment alternative ways of being in daily actions : eating differently, fasting, creative cooking, developping mindfullness and gratitude towards available resources. I also offer workshops of techniques from the alternative world : solar cooking, DIY natural detergent, mass rocket stove, food preservation, ... " Julien
